Snails need a diet high in calcium to grow strong healthy shells. All our Mystery snails, Ramshorn snails and Nerite snails are fed this diet including all our baby snails. We have put this pack together to take care of your snails basic needs. This pack should be fed as part of a varied diet. Snails also enjoy blanched Zucchini, broccoli and green beans. Other foods can be added when making this food up, such as bloodworms, brine shrimp, flake food and even a pouch of organic baby food.
We have tested feeding this to our snails for years. They have grown into large beautiful snails with strong healthy shells. We feed it 3-4 times a week. The other days we feed a variety of greens such as broccoli, green beans and occasionally algae wafer.
Cuttlebone - Add a small piece of cuttlebone for every 10 gallons it will dissolve slowly over a long period of time. It adds calcium to the water for the snails.
Calcium Chips - Calcium and Spirilina. Snails go crazy for these. Feed 1-2 chips per week for 1-3 snails. Increase number of chips as needed for more snails. These are a supplement and not to be fed daily.
